Lots of new stuff! This post seems to be dominated by buns..

Recent things! Mostly gifts and commissions. The hand soap container is pretty nice looking.. too bad the opening doesn't fit the cork of the pump I bought!!

Just a few recent things! A flower vase for my Mom. And a pet urn commission for a client in Seattle.

Some new-ish things!

Wee! A new kind of way to glaze pottery.. underglaze directly onto the greenware! and then a transparent glaze over that after it's been bisque fired! This was made as a surprise gift for a friend. :)

End of March batch

Most recent workload! I want to focus on making things that match. They're more charming in pairs, and makes me think that they would be nice for sharing a beverage with a friend. In a few weeks I will be posting some of these to my Etsy store. :)

Alright! Getting back into the pottery groove these past few weeks!

This seems appropriate to post here. Last year I made some videos of myself at the UC Berkeley ceramics studio. They're sped up and feature throwing, trimming, and pulling handles.. Also feature my epic tummy pudge.





I'm so much better than I was a year ago. I should make some new videos.

My inventory is at zero currently! I'm getting back into the swing of pottery production. Trimmed 18 cups and mugs last night, and have some bowls and sake sets in the works. At the end of the month I will be taking a class on how to transfer images onto ceramics!! I can't wait!

Pottery Auctioned

Last month these pieces of pottery were auctioned off at an art show. I don't remember how much everything went for, but it was ridiculous. I think these pieces earned me over $1K. I am extremely humbled by the generosity of art collectors. I still consider myself quite amateur when it comes to pottery but.. I suppose I'm doing alright!
